This space was where the monks had their meals, which were very simple and humble, reflecting their austere lifestyle. The Noble Room suffered serious damage in the 1755 earthquake that devastated Lisbon. In the 18th century, the room was rebuilt and significantly altered.
The tiles, dated from the late 18th century, depict the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes by Christ. These tiles also adorned the opposite wall. Today, it is a charming venue for hosting events and celebrations.
